Our Last Day.....

On our last day we walked down the pier in Oceanside. It's supposed to be the longest wooden pier on the Pacific Ocean. There's a diner called Ruby's at the end that we ate at. It was pretty cool.

As we were walking down there were all these people fishing off of the pier. You can't see it really well in this picture but they've actually caught a ray. The man in the navy shirt is just about to haul it over the side.

We had some really fun times on our vacation. Thanks to Alicia and Ben for inviting us!!

Sea World & Mission Beach

We went to see the Dolphin Show at Sea World. Logan was captivated the entire time. I thought it was pretty neat, too. I much preferred it to Shamu. The sound wasn't working for our Shamu show, so maybe that's what made the difference. The Dolphin Show had a bit more comedy and interesting information about dolphins. It seemed to me that they were trying too hard with Shamu. But that's just my opinion!

I had to include the one of Logan asleep in his stroller because he never falls asleep anywhere but his crib or carseat.

The day we went to Mission Beach was the only sunny day! WOOO! The boys had some fun boogie boarding. Luke and I had a blast playing in waves and Logan absolutley loved digging in the sand.

Oceanside: A Walk To The Beach....

Our hotel wasn't very far from the beach so Luke, Logan, and I walked down there one evening. It was Logan's first visit to the ocean and he thought it was pretty neat. Although, he didn't really like the freezing cold water on his feet.

These pretty red flowers were on some trees that lined a parking lot on the way down to the beach. I've never really seen anything like them before. I love the foliage in coastal areas. It's always so green and lush. I could definitely live near the ocean!

There were a ton of gulls camped out on the beach just staring out at the ocean. They were clustered in groups of about 100 all the way down the shore line. This group near us decided to take off all at once. Luckily, we didn't get pooped on!

Vegas: The Secret Garden....

We went to The Secret Garden at the Mirage to see the animals. After that, we went over to the Venetian to an art exhibit that was pretty interesting. They had some Picasso, Monet, and Manet, that type of thing. I enjoy getting a sense of history and culture once and a while.

I thought the two lions spooning were interesting because they were both males!

Logan made friends with the little girls in green. He kept giving them little hugs while we were watching the dolphins. It was so cute!

Vegas: Hoover Dam...

Here's a rare photo of Luke and I smiling at the Hoover Dam. Logan decided to be an asshole (that's right, I said it!) that day, so there are very few of these.

I'm not sure if this picture is able to convey the amazingness of this road they are building over the river but let me tell you, it was pretty cool. It's so high!

Busy....

I realize it's been a while since I've posted anything but I've been busy getting the house ready to sell, then we went on vacation, then I had (and still have) a bunch of things scheduled for the week we get back, and now both Luke and Logan are sick.  So, in lieu of some fabulous pictures of our amazing vacation, I will leave you with this eye candy..... Not to worry, of course, vacation pictures will come in time!
