How to Host A Murder!!

Here are some pics from Alicia's "How to Host a Murder" party on Sunday. It was set in Chicago in the 1920's and it was sooo fun! I was "Scoop" a reporter and Luke was the D.A., note the dapper hat! Leash was Molly, a socialite and Ben was Eddie "Socks", a golfer. My mom was "Torchy" a sultry jazz singer and Dad was "Bet a Million", a billionaire gambler. Ben's mom Suzette was "Silky" a shady brothel owner and Gordon was Billy "The Kid", a pitcher on a baseball team.

It was a great idea and something new and fun to do. Thanks Leash!!!

Pictures of Logan

South Dakota

This summer we took a trip to South Dakota and stayed in a cabin in the Black Hills. I know you're thinking why South Dakota?? But it was one of the most beautiful places I've seen. We went to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, we saw Deadwood and thousands of bikers!! We visited this crazy replica of an old west town, the people that worked there were straight out of the movie Deliverance!!! We had a blast!! Thanks to Mark and Sharilyn for making it all possible.
Luke pretending to mountain climb. What a dork!!In front of a replica of Crazy Horse. For those of you who don't know what that is: the statue behind us is being carved into a mountain just like Mount Rushmore. The government basically took away Native American land to carve Mount Rushmore, so a man (I can't remember his name) and his family are carving Crazy Horse as a tribute to Native Americans. They have been working on it for over 60 years and it's still not even half-way completed because they rely on private donations and not government funding. Here we are at Bear Country. It's a place you drive-through and the animals are just out wandering about. I thought it would be a bit scary because I'm deathly afraid of bears, but I actually conquered my fears (somewhat!!) and rolled down the window to take a picture! Wooo Whoo!
Luke and Logan at Mount Rushmore. It's pretty amazing, especially considering it was carved without the benefit of modern technology.

South Dakota- Petting Zoo

Logan at Old McDonald's Petting Zoo. He loved running around and touching all of the animals!!
These were muderous lambs!! They charged right up to us and almost knocked me down!!
Luke trying to get Logan to pet a cow.

Rest of the Trip

Me and Leash at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Me and Luke mini-golfing in San Jose. Alicia made us take pictures everywhere!!

The Lone Cypress on the Seventeen Mile Drive. The drive was absolutely gorgeous!! I would highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Half Moon Bay

Here we are at the tide pools in Half Moon Bay. It was really neat to see all of the little sea creatures!!

My Blog

I'm very new to this blogging thing, but Alicia started one and it looks kind of fun. I don't think mine will be very exciting, but maybe it will inspire me to take more pictures.
